Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett has signed on for the upcoming "Indiana Jones" movie, reports Reuters. The word is still mum regarding David Koepp's script for the upcoming film, including the characters appearing, but the buzz says Blanchett will play a leading lady to Harrison Ford's aging Indy.
What that means regarding the rumours that Natalie Portman and Karen Allen will appear is anyone's guess. Could it that the latest movie will be called "Indiana Jones and the Jerry Springer Show?" (Well, probably not.) Whatever Movie Four ends up titled, Lucas and Spielberg are on board, and we'll be seeing what they've done with the franchise come Memorial Day weekend, 2008.
