It looks like Miley Cyrus may finally have a chance to break away from her Hannah Montana persona. Nicholas Sparks is reportedly penning a new screenplay just for her, which has already been purchased by Disney. Sparks, who introduced the world to Mandy Moore’s acting ability in A Walk To Remember, is writing the novel and screenplay for the new movie at the same time.

There’s no word on the movie’s plot, but I have to wonder if the teenager we’re used to seeing as Hannah Montana can pull off the tears we’re using to getting from Sparks’ movies. I, for one, would love to see Cyrus pull off the kind of movie that I suspect many people think she can’t handle.
