EW reports that Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster will voice the an adult version of Maggie Simpson in the episode "Four Great Women and A Manicure". The episode, much like such forays as Margical History Tour and Tales from the Public Domain, will take alternate universe peeks at Macbeth, The Fountainhead, Citizen Kane, and the historical story of Queen Elizabeth I, recasting the lead characters with ones from the Simpsons Universe.
The episode will air in early 2009.
Actress Anne Hathaway will, meanwhile, appear in "The Good, the Sad and the Drugly," voicing a good girl for whom Bart falls and tries to change his bad boy ways. The episode will also air in early 2009.
In other news, Comcast's OnDemand service, as part of Fox's fall preview, is offering a one-minute clip from the first episode of the season, entitled "Sex, Pies and Idiot Scrapes".
The Simpsons premieres their historical twentieth season on September twenty-eighth.
