Nominations were announced for the 2008 Prime Time Emmys recently, and King of The Hill was lauded with a nod.

The show has been nominated for Outstanding Animated Program Less Than One Hour for the episode Death Picks Cotton.
  

Death Picks Cotton deals with the final appearence of Hank's
irascible father, Cotton Hill, who meets with an unlikely demise at a Japanese restaurant.

The show's competes with an episode of the short-lived claymation series Creature Comforts, The Simpsons' "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind", Robot Chicken's Star Wars special, and Spongebob Squarepants' "Inmates of Summer / Two Faces of Squidward." 

The award will be handed out at the Creative Arts Emmys on September thirteenth.
