Kristen Chenoweth 'Cranks' Out Tune About Meth Addiction
The world has been sadly lacking in snappy tunes about meth addiction--but Pushing Daisies star Kristen Chenoweth has finally filled the gap.
Intervention with Kristen Chenoweth (currently playing on the humor website Funny Or Die) features our favorite pie restaurant waitress as a Broadway tune belting therapist, singing about the costs of meth addiction in what surely must be the first musical intervention ever put to video. For those who perhaps were as yet unconvinced of Chenoweth's ability to sing a catchy tune about performing sexual favors to feed a drug habit, this video should put those uncertainties to rest.
The video--like most musicals--runs perhaps a bit too long, but is still very amusing.
But it does pose the question:
Does this woman ever sleep?
In between filming Season 2 of Pushing Daisies, promising to record an album 'for the gays', and generally being all shades of awesome, it looks like Chenoweth may have discovered a new energy source: perky pixie power. At this rate, she may soon give Torchwood's John Barrowman (who has also recorded an album of cheesy Seventies songs, hosted How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, and even hosted a radio visit to the Large Hadron Collider) a run for Reclusive Star of The Year.
Pushing Daisies Season 2 premieres on October 1 on ABC.
