Collinsville, IL Gateway Center (convention center) and adjacent Holiday Inn.

This is the same location as the 1993-2007 Archons.

Large convention convention which has occurred annually since 1977.

Guest of Honor -- Laurell K. Hamilton, author of the Anita Blake series.

Artist/Gaming GoH -- John Kovalic. Among other things, Kovalic is the artist behind the Dork Tower comic book. Per Wikipedia (so take this with the usual grain of salt required for Wikipedia) he's also done artwork for Steve Jackson Games (Munchkin RPGs, Chez Geek, Chez Goth, and Chez Dork), Cumberland Games & Diversions (Pokéthulhu), and Fantasy Flight Games (Mag-Blast 3rd Edition) and the sole illustrator for the "Super-Deluxx" edition of Kobolds Ate My Baby. He has also had work appear in the New York Times and the Washington Post

Toastmaster and Masquarade MC --  Vic Milán. Among other things, per his web site, Milán has about 80 published novels including the Prometheus Award winning novel The Cybernetic Samurai, and its sequel The Cybernetic Shogun, a Star Trek novel From The Depths, the military novel CLD: Collective Landing Detachment and a trilogy of BattleTech novels. As Richard Austin he also writes a military action/adventure series called The Guardians.
