A large general-interest convention put on by the Houston Science Fiction Association. Besides the usual and expected events, it will feature a writer's workshop and dance.

2008 Guests:

Guest of Honor -- Wil McCarthy.
Among other things, he is a former contributing editor for WIRED magazine, science columnist for the SciFi channel (writer of Lab Notes), and has written novels which include To Crush the Moon and written articles for WIRED, Discover, GQ, Popular Mechanics, IEEE Spectrum, and The Journal of Applied Polymer Science and short fiction for Analog, Asimov's, WIRED, and SF Age. He has been nominated for Nebula, Locus, Seiun, AnLab, Colorado Book, Theodore Sturgeon and Philip K. Dick awards and been a contributor to projects which have won a Webbie, an Eppie, a Game Developers' Choice Award, and a General Excellence National Magazine Award.

Editor Guests of Honor -- Gavin Grant & Kelly Link. ApolloCon's Web site didn't have a bio for them as of the posting of this article, but a quick check of Google determined that they run Small Beer Press and co-edit St. Martin's Press's Year's Best Fantasy and Horror with Ellen Datlow.

Music Guest of Honor -- Amy McNally, filker and fiddler.
