Eliza Dushku will be donning scrubs for Fox's upcoming series Nurses, says Variety. The series, also known as Philadelphia General is a comedy-drama slated for next season. Dushku plays Eve, the lead character. Katheryn Winnick was originally slated to play the character but has left the show.

Dushku is by far best known to genre fans as Faith, the vampire slayer who went over to the dark side and eventually came back in one of the most interesting character arcs ever shown on Buffy and Angel. She also was the lead in Fox's late Tru Calling, a neat but unloved series about a woman with the power to relive and change the past. Dushku has plenty of acting chops, and hopefully Fox will give this new series a chance so she can show them off to a wider audience.
