As Fringe Premiere Approaches, The Hype Goes Up To A Spooky Eleven
With the premiere of Fringe just more than two weeks away, eager fans can salve their rash of impatience with brand new Fringe-related Internet content. This new collection of geek treasure includes new promotional posters and a shiny new website.

Among the features at the website are interviews with the series' stars Joshua Jackson, John Noble and soon to be blogger-worshipped Anna Torv. If that wasn't enough (isn't it?) there is also a sit down chat with series creator J.J. Abrams. As well, there is also a downloadable widget that will let you know to the second how long you have to fuss until Fringe legally lights up your TV screens. (For the record, I have not yet seen the first episode. I shall resist the Torrent temptation, for I am pure. Anna Torv will surely recognize this, and will send me chocolates.)

Unfortunately, all the cool downloadable stuff on the site is only available to those living in the United States. Since this Firefox writer lives in Canada, I am bereft of any consolation these gifts may offer.

The posters, though, are viewable to all. Three of them feature Anna Torv, which indicates to me that the Fringe crew are well aware of their demographic. The other five Torv-less ones include:
    1. A spooky apple with--OMG!--babies inside.
2.Two green lights glowing all lopsided in fog, with a mysterious woman looking at them....mysteriously.
3.A Masonic leaf, to which I will not add a joke about how the Masons must be branching out, because I'm above that.
     4. A ghostly handprint with a yellow light peeking out from behind  it. Could these be alien traffic lights? Or are we just supposed to think they are?  You never know with Mr. Abrams. He messes with your mind, you know. I still get the shakes whenever someone shouts Rambaldi artifact in my face, especially on the bus.
    5. And finally, we have a screaming face made out of smoke, with yet another spooky yellow light wavering in front of it, the way yellow lights do. When you're made of smoke.

Fringe premieres Sept 9 on ABC.
