Folks interested in Legend of the Seeker, the new series from the creators of Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys won't have to wait much longer.  The series will premiere on November 1, 2008.

Since the series is syndicated, viewers will have to check local listings for stations and times.

The series is based on Wizard's First Rule, the first novel in author Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series.

Cast members are: Craig Horner as Richard Cypher, Bridget Regan as Kahlan, Bruce Spence as Zeddicus Zul Zorander, Jay Laga'aia as Chase and Craig Parker as Darken Rahl.

The first episode will be a two-hour premiere.  The initial season is slated for 22 one-hour episodes which will span the events in Goodkind's first novel.  Goodkind said that the series will be broken up into self-contained storylines within the arc of the book.

“Your friends and family aren’t going to be watching from day one. We want them to come in at the third episode and be able to follow along.  So, there has to be a story every episode,” Goodkind said recently during a panel at San Diego Comic Con.
