Appeals of JJ Abram's New Show Fringe Not Lost on Sky1

UK fans will be able to watch JJ Abram's new show Fringe on network Sky 1, which has picked the science fiction series up. The series will air this fall.

Fringe has been frequently described as "similar to the X-files." It was co-created by Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, and stars actors Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek), John Noble (Lord of the Rings) and Lance Reddick (Lost). In the first episode, they learn that the grisly and mysterious deaths of all aboard a airborne plane are only part of a bigger story.

Sky1's David Smyth, head of acquisitions, said: "We're delighted to have secured the rights to Fringe, which we believe will thrill a new generation of viewers much like The X-Files did 15 years ago."

Fox Broadcasting (the United States network that will carry it) has a trailer for Fringe posted on Youtube.
