With the start of the Fall 2008 TV season we are dramatically increasing our coverage of television ...
Writers wanted!
Firefox News provides news and reviews for
a fannish audience. The site editorial staff are active members of
fandom, and many of our writers have fannish roots. We're not run by
some big media conglomerate, nor are we just "in it for the money."
However, our goal is to be lots bigger -- while staying true to our
roots as a site that's fandom-oriented.
In other words -- we want to grow, but we fully intend to still joke about OTPs, pr0n and fanfiction; we'll still cover meta and fannish news; we're going to continue reccing the occasional really impressive fanwork. We're even expanding coverage of conventions. We're fans and we're proud of it.
With the start of the Fall 2008 TV season we are dramatically increasing our coverage of television. To do this, we need more reporters to sign up for coverage of their favorite shows. Reporters for this site get a 99% cut of the Adsense revenue for their articles, and can still crosspost their work to their own personal blogs. (You were going to review your favorite show anyway, right? Now you can get a lot more exposure and a share of the ad revenue!)
We have tons of really good shows that are currently open for the fall season. Your favorites may well be on this list. If you think you can write a good review and want to enthusiastically cover news for your favorite shows, we encourage you to apply. To do so go here and follow the directions.
