silver pen kills werewolf episode
By now a lot of people know that The Middleman has been cut to twelve episodes from the thirteen originally slated. But which episode was cut? I think I know the answer.

July 9, 2008, I downloaded the episode list from Wikipedia, showing eleven episodes; so when I heard about the cut, I just thought another one was added. However, when I checked the list again a month later, what do I find? You guessed it – twelve episodes. I compared lists. One shown in July is now gone, with two replacing it. That episode is “The Lovesick Werewolf Concatenation,” which I believe is the lost episode. Here The Middleman and Wendy fight werewolves disguised as secretaries who form a fan club honoring The Middleman himself. I’m guessing that one was cut because there was already a fanlike episode, “The Boyband Superfan Interrogation”.Or perhaps they didn’t want to offend secretaries. Who wants a lap full of hot coffee? The werewolf angle would have been entertaining – a good balance with the vampire episode. Or maybe they figured zombies and vampires were enough monsters for one season.

Maybe it’ll be shown next season, if The Middleman is picked up again. I hope it is.
