More details are becoming available about upcoming Torchwood episodes.
First, a title and an airdate for the full-cast audio was just announced. At 2:15 on Wednesday, September 10, BBC 4 will run "Lost Souls." The plot can be summed up as "the CERN Particle Physics Laboratory fires up the world's largest hadron collider. Hijinks ensue." (The Lab and the collider are real and yes, it is slated to go online this fall.) Confirmed cast include the surviving Torchwood regulars, Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones, and two new characters.
The next day, the CD goes on sale. Long available for preorder on Amazon.co.
uk as simply "Torchwood Radio 4 Drama [Audiobook]," full details are now online.
Second, Torchwood Season 3 has long been confirmed as a single-arc miniseries to be aired on BBC 1 over the course of a week. The Sci-Fi Channel in America was rumored to be unwilling to purchase such a short run, and it has just been announced that BBC America will be picking up the miniseries and airing it in the States after the by-now standard time lag of two weeks after the British premiere.
Although there are tabloid rumors about Freema's move to ITV, there is no official confirmation or denial about the presence of Martha in the miniseries.
