DC Universe has released a trailer for the new
Wonder Woman film.
(... And there went my assistant to go watch it. Bye Melissa!)
This is not a a trailer the troubled big-screen production which most famously had
Joss Whedon hired to direct it. (Whedon then left over creative
differences.) This is a trailer for the direct-to-DVD animated version of the story -- which we're a whole heck of a lot more likely to see completed in this lifetime.
The trailer looks promising, and follows several other successful DC
Universe animated movies.
The director, Lauren Montgomery, worked on
Superman: Doomsday,
Legion
of Superheroes,
Justice League, and
Ben 10. The writer, Michael
Jelenic, has written scripts for and/or been story editor for
Batman:
The Brave and the Bold,
The Batman,
The Batman Vs. Dracula,
The Legion
of Superheroes,
Ben 10, and
Jackie Chan Adventures.
The voice actors include Rosario Dawson as playing Artemis, Nathan
Fillion as Col. Steve Trevor, Keri Russell as Wonder Woman, Virginia
Madsen as Hippolyta and Alfred Molina as Ares. Keri Russel (who played
Felicity on
Felicity) is a particularly interesting choice for Wonder
Woman's voice; I look forward to seeing how she interprets the
character when the movie's released in February 2009.
