Sam Raimi briefly discussed the upcoming television adaptation of Terry Goodkind's The Wizard's First Rule, entitled The Legend of the Seeker, with Scifi Wire in an article posted August 5th.

Raimi is creating the series with Hercules collaborator Rob Tappert  In it, Raimi stated, "We want to tell in a very consistent style this great epic fantasy that Terry has created."

Sam Raimi (Hercules, Xena, the Spiderman movies, and one gazillion other well known movies or series) and Rob Tapert (nearly the same gazillion projects) are well known for their fan-favorite productions. Craig Horner has been cast as the hero, Richard Cypher and Bridget Regan as the heroine Kahlan, and Bruce Spence as Zedd. Disney-ABC is producing it, and filming is currently taking place in New Zealand. The premier date is November 1st, 2008.
