Says Huff (who can also be found on Livejournal): "Look, let's be perfectly clear about this, BLOOD TIES isn't mine. Even the pilot, BLOOD PRICE, which is a direct adaptation of the book, isn't mine. It's Peter's and Danny's and Kyle's and Christina's and Dylan's and all the other talented people in the cast and crew who worked on it. I did my work on this more than a decade ago – these guys have taken my ball and run with it right into the end zone. Yay them! But you know what? I am so amazed by what they've done, so pleased with the result, I'm finding this entire thing so incredibly cool, I want to be a part of it."
Series writer Denis McGrath has been chatting about the series on his blog too. Right now, the crew is working on the end of the first season, even as they gear up for the release this Sunday.
"The performances keep getting better," says McGrath. "Our stories are filled with twisty goodness. The Directors are turning in wonderful stuff, and as much as you might like to view pics of Vicki, Mike, and Henry, I can't believe some of the great characters you haven't even met yet, whether it be Coreen or Kate, or Dave, or Dr. Mohadevan (whose name I seem to always spell wrong in my scripts, even though I was taught a perfectly good mnemonic device to remember it...Moe-had-a-van. Then again, today I misspelled Celluci, so I might just be getting punchy.)" The two-hour premiere is on Lifetime this Sunday at 9pm EDT.
