Even though the manga series ended last month and the anime series ended in 2004 with the 4th movie “Fire on Mystic Mountain”, one more anime short has been made for the series Inuyasha. On July 30th there will be a Rumiko Takahashi exhibit of original drawings of all her various works called “It’s a Rumic World” that goes from July 30th to August 11th. During the exhibit, which takes place in Tokyo’s Ginza shopping district at the Matsuya Ginza Department Store, a new anime short called the “Black Tessaiga” (“Kuroi Tessaiga”) will be screened. Anyone that is lucky enough to be in the area should go and see what might be the last show created for the Inuyasha franchise.

Unfortunately right now there is no information on the short except for its name and when and where it will be shown.

The big question of course is when the anime short will make it to America. I unfortunately do not know. Hopefully soon because just by the title of the short I really am curious on what the short is about and if it has anything to do with Inuyasha’s Tessaiga.

Besides the anime short there will be lots of Takahashi’s drawings of her other works such as Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku and Mermaid’s Forest. While many of us won’t be able to attend there just might be a lucky few who can see her great works and see the new short as well.

Once more information comes in I will make sure to write an update article on this mysterious new anime short.
