I’ve been writing since I can remember, everything from romance to science fiction. I’ve had some moderate success, but keep the ultimate goal to have novels in print. The IKV Ice Dragon is based in Erie and has about 20 members who meet to celebrate the honor of Trek, as well as perform many charitable activities in the community.
The Confest claims to bring a unique opportunity in the category of Star Trek conventions-- "A Star Trek film festival made by Star Trek fans for Star Trek Fans."
Movies may be submitted for consideration in several categories, including short film (30 minutes or less) , feature-length film (more than 30 minutes), and episodes. These can be live action, stop-action or animated. Films can be made in English, German, French--even Klingon or Romulan-- as long as they have English subtitles.
Winners will have the opportunity to have their film seen by agents and producers, as well as sharing with others like-minded.
The entry fees increase as the summer goes on, so get those cameras rolling! For entry forms and more details, see the Confest site. . Q'apla!
