WB Animation has announced that James Marsters and Adam Baldwin will star in the upcoming original animated video Superman Doomsday, due out September 18. Baldwin will voice the Man of Steel, with Marsters as master criminal Lex Luthor. Anne Heche joins them as Lois Lane. Bruce Timm is producing the film, based on the bestselling 'Death of Superman' storyline from the comics. Doomsday, the mutant creation of a Kryptonian genius and the ultimate killing machine, comes to Earth and fights a battle to the death with her mightiest hero.

In related news, Kyle MacLachlan has been cast as Superman in another upcoming Warner animated project, Justice League: The New Frontier. MacLachlan is best known for his roles in Twin Peaks and Desperate Housewives, as well as his turn as Paul Atreides in the 1985 film adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune.
