Marvel announced Monday during its Fourth Quarter earnings webcast that 'Iron Man' will begin production on March 12, according to Comics Continuum. Jon Favreau directs the pic, and has already signed Robert Downey Jr.
as Tony Stark / Iron Man, with Terrence Howard cast as Jim "Rhodey" Rhodes / War Machine and Gwyneth Paltrow as Stark's love interest, Virginia "Pepper" Potts. Jeff Bridges has also been cast as a yet-unnamed character, possibly a villain. The film is planned to hit theatres on May 2, 2008, avoiding the Memorial Day crowding with "Indiana Jones 4" and "Speed Racer."
