Season Three of Supernatural will be released on Tuesday, September 2. The six disc set will have all 16 episodes of the WGA-shortened season and is currently priced at 59.99. No information is available as of posting date on the extras and special features for the disc set. The text that follows is the official blurb for the set:

The fourth season premiere date has not been announced, but rumors have surfaced on various fan communities that it could be as early as September 4. Imdb.com lists the premiere as the 4^th. The last couple of seasons have started in late September and early October, but with an earlier DVD release, the rumored earlier premiere date might have merit.

In convention related news, Jared Padalecki has recently been announced as a guest for the upcoming Supernatural EyeCon, taking place in Orlando, Florida. Eyecon is taking place the weekend of September 26-28, 2008 and is being held at the Florida Hotel and Conference Centre.

Negotiations are currently underway for other guests such as actors and others involved in the show to attend as well.
