I've been an anime fan for 6 years now. My favorites are the Slayers series (it got me hooked), Ranma 1/2, Full Metal Panic and Love Hina. I went to Otakon (2003-2005), Manganext (06), Animenext (07), and volunteered at New York Anime Fest (07). I'm really into Harry Potter, Harry Potter fanfiction, and fantasy books like Dark Materials series. IF ANYONE IS GOING TO ANIMENEXT I'LL SEE YOU ALL THERE!

The First Bleach Movie and the Creator of Bleach, Sounds Like a Very Good Deal

The manga creator of the very popular Bleach series, Tite Kubo, will be making his first North American appearance at San Diego’s Comic Con International this year. Kubo will make his debut on July 25 at 8 P.M. at the theatrical screening of the first Bleach film, Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody. Seats are limited so attendees of the convention should stop by the Viz booth to get tickets if they want to catch a glimpse of the artist who created one of the most popular series in anime and manga. Afterwards he will appear at the Shonen Jump Magazine panel to talk about his works and he'll have two signings at the Viz booth on July 26.

For those who need reminding, Comic Con International spans July 24-27, with Preview Night being the 23rd at the Convention Center in San Diego. The Viz booth, where tickets to the Memories of Nobody screening can be picked up, is lot number 4113. Bleach began appearing in Shonen Jump magazine in 2001 and is currently more than 300 chapters long. It has won the Shogakukan Manga Award in 2005 and is being published by Viz Media in the United States.  The anime runs weekly on Cartoon Network. Before becoming popular with Bleach, Tite Kubo also made a four volume series called Zombie Powder in 1999.

If yo're going to be in town, do not miss out on the chance to meet the maker of Bleach. He might release some new information about future episodes of Bleach or even a new project at the panel.
