I've been an anime fan for 6 years now. My favorites are the Slayers series (it got me hooked), Ranma 1/2, Full Metal Panic and Love Hina. I went to Otakon (2003-2005), Manganext (06), Animenext (07), and volunteered at New York Anime Fest (07). I'm really into Harry Potter, Harry Potter fanfiction, and fantasy books like Dark Materials series. IF ANYONE IS GOING TO ANIMENEXT I'LL SEE YOU ALL THERE!

This news comes from Hayashibara’s official page on the Starchild website, which can be found here. It has been confirmed that Lina Inverse will be returning as the main lead in the new series as well. Dragon Magazine’s May Issue announced the official title of the new Slayers series to be Slayers Revolution, while mentioning that the main character of the series might be Xellos instead of Lina. It also says that a major announcement will be made in the July issue. At least now the question of who the main lead is has been confirmed. All I can say is that I am gladdened by this news. Slayers will not be the same without Hayashibara or Lina Inverse and it will be weird hearing someone else singing the theme songs.
The April issue of Fujimi Shobo’s Dragon Magazine, the publisher of the original Slayers novel by Hajime Kanzaka, announced that a new project is in the works to create the fourth series in the Slayers anime series. The series will be created by the J.C. Staff studio, the same studio that created the last three series of the anime. The Hajime Kanzaka Fan Club confirmed that the title had yet to be decided on, nor has the studio decided if Lina will be returning as the main character or even being in the new series at all.
Megumi Hayashibara has sung the opening and ending themes and the voice of Lina Inverse for all the previous Slayers television series and OVAs. She has also sung theme songs for the series Love Hina, All Purpose Cat Girl Nuku Nuku, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Saber Marionette, and Shaman King. She is the voice of female Ranma on the series Ranma ½ and has sung the opening and ending themes for said series. She is also the voice of Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, Rei Ayanami of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Lime of the Saber Marionette series, and Haruka Urashima of the Love Hina series.
