Nea has been a fan of Doctor Who since before the era of VCRs and personal computers. Now she's thrilled that there's an all-new show and all-new ways for fandom to keep up to date and spread.

A new season starts, a star comes to America, and the missing commentary appears
Torchwood star Gareth David-Lloyd was recently quoted as saying he wanted to appear at American conventions. America responded quickly, and now his website has him listed as a guest at both the Californian San Diego Comic-con International in July and the Georgian Dragoncon on Labor Day weekend (end of August-September 1). Both appearances are dependent upon filming schedules, so check closer to the date to verify his status.

The David Tennant, Freema Agyeman, and John Barrowman commentary for Last of the Timelords, which mysteriously disappeared from the Region 1 DVD sets after being advertised in the initial release, is now available as a BBC America exclusive download.  Last of the Timelords will air on BBC America Saturday, April 19. There is a listen feature on the website so that fans can sync the commentary to the episode as it airs.

Speaking of airing, the Whoniverse is getting plenty of screentime. In Great Britain, the fourth season of Doctor Who has begun, handily winning its timeslot as the Doctor adventures with returning companion Donna. In America, just as BBC America is winding down the third season of Doctor Who and the second season of Torchwood, the Sci Fi Channel has begun showing the first season of The Sarah Jane Adventures, with the 2007 Christmas special and the fourth season of Doctor Who to follow. As with Torchwood, Doctor Who will air in America about two weeks after premiering in Great Britain.

For people for whom the show is not enough, Amazon.co.uk is now permitting preorders of the Doctor/Donna tie-in novels, due in September, and the Tennant audio-only adventure, "Pest Control." Considering the long delay in making Pest Control available for pre-order, it's a good thing that it didn't disappear in the same manner as the advertised but never released Torchwood audio adventure "In the Shadows." For Martha fans, her latest tie-in adventures have just been released in Great Britain, with the American Amazon release to come at some point next month.
