Character actor Stanley Kamel has died from an apparent heart attack, according to E! Online. Kamel, currently known for his role as a psychiatrist on Monk, was 65.
Kamel was a well-known face in genre television.
He appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation as Kosinski, the would-be genius engineer whose assistant the Traveler was the real deal. He also appeared in The Incredible Hulk, Beauty and the Beast, Mork and Mindy, MacGyver, Probe, and The West Wing.
In a statement, USA Network said, "Stanley was an amazingly talented and extremely kind man, and an important member of the USA family. He will be sorely missed."
