David Boreanaz of 'Bones,' 'Angel' and 'Buffy' fame has signed to voice Geen Lantern Hal Jordan in the upcoming 'Justice League: New Frontier' animated film, according to Comics Continuum. The movie is an adaptation of Darwyn Cooke's story which bridges the Golden and Silver Ages of DC Comics.
Jordan and J'onn J'onnz the Martian Manhunter will be the lead characters, with strong appearances by the regular set of DC heroes. Neil Patrick Harris has been tapped to play Barry Allen's Flash in the movie, and Brooke Shields is rumored to play Jordan's love interest, Carol Ferris. Phil Morris has signed on to do multiple voices, including fan favorite King Faraday. 'New Frontier' is aiming for a late 2007 release date, and will be direct-to-DVD. Cooke and Stan Berkowitz will lead the production, while DC Animated deity Bruce Timm sits in the director's chair.
