Marion Zimmer Bradley's associates are again soliciting short stories for publication in an upcoming anthology. The theme is 'Sword and Sorceress,' with the stories all in the "sword and sorcery" genre with a strong female protagonist. MZB's estate will be reading stories between March 23 and April 20 of this year (no stories will be accepted outside this time frame and will be deleted unread). Stories should be no more than 9,000 words in length and have an expected publication date of November 2007.

MZB was well-known in the field of fantasy literature, both for her body of works and also for her willingness to publish new writers who'd written works set within her established universes, most notably her "Darkover" series. Her best-known work was The Mists of Avalon, a retelling of Arthurian legend from a feminine perspective.
