The Winchesters will continue to fight the good fight
In anticipation of the end of the strike, networks including The CW are
putting in new episode orders. As reported in TV
Week, The CW has ordered five or six new episodes of Supernatural,
probably to air in April. The series is halfway through the
last of its four pre-strike episodes running in February. The next two
episodes of Supernatural air February 14 and February 21, Thursdays at
9 pm on The CW.
The CW had previously announced that after the pre-strike episodes run out, starting February 28 the freshman horror comedy Reaper would take Supernatural's Thursday night slot (with no reruns for Supernatural, a puzzling decision). The network is also ordering more episodes of Reaper, and it's not clear yet if Supernatural will stay in its current time slot after all or get a new one for the rest of the season.
Either way, the order for new episodes is great news for the show's fans. Supernatural has always existed "on the bubble" -- its ratings are strong enough for The CW to keep, but it averages around 3 million viewers a week. Last week's "Dream A Little Dream of Me" pulled in around 2.
6 million viewers, despite it being a
strong episode, emotionally powerful and imaginative.
Supernatural remains the best show not enough people are watching
despite its effective blend of drama, humor and creepy special effects,
and impressive performances from two charismatic leads, Jensen Ackles
and Jared Padalecki. Each week the Bros. Winchester take on the likes
of ghosts, shapeshifters, werewolves, and demons, while the most
difficult battles they face are the emotional ones.
The show's fans aren't taking any chances. The fansites supernatural.tv and WinchesterBros.com have jointly launched the "Supernatural Will Not Get Lost" campaign. Supernatural is currently scheduled against ratings giants such as CSI and Lost. In an effort to raise awareness about the show, the fans have a multi-phase campaign under way, which includes contacting the network and the news media, as well as a word-of-mouth grassroots effort to remind viewers to watch the show. For more information, check out the supernatural.tv or the WinchesterBros.com websites.

Supernatural é uma das melhores séries atualmente em cartaz, só precisa de mais divulgação, inclusive por parte da CW, pois os fãs já fazem sua parte e muito bem feita por sinal!

Insightful article. Stands to reason that only a superlative show like Supernatural can incite such dedicated zeal from its fans who are an eclectic group. Wish CW could realize this and respond appropriately.

Supernatural is the best that the CW has to offer,....they though just don't know how to promote it. My friend a fan of GA ...not liking LOST, stepped back and saw lasts week eppi...and she was likw WOW! I'am hooked. Those two guys are also beautiful and this show is kinda scary but funny and sexy. Marty (A GIRL) NOT A GUY , was like Iam seeing nexts week episode. And I was like about time.

Thank you for this article. I agree one hundredth percent with everything you wrote. I am seriously feeling let down and betrayed as a viewer by the CW and their constant lack of promotion for one of the best show it has to offer. It's seriously puzzling, if one wants to stay on the clean side of the vocabulary, and annoying. I hope they give it a more deserving timeslot. And honestly, LOST, for me, has totally taken the plunge down the drain after half the second season. So... three cheers for Supernatural! :) Give this show a chance!

Supernatural is an excellent show, every week we have a smart story with great performances. It´s very hard for a show to remain true every season but our boys did it. They deserve every effort that we the fans can do to keep the show going. Supernatural will not get Lost !!!!
