View all articles by Melissa Wilson"Heroes" is one of the few breakout hits this season, following the adventures of a handful of people with very special powers. The series got an initial bump in the ratings from NBC's experiment with online downloads, allowing viewers to preview the pilot before the official premiere. Additionally, quick rebroadcasts on SciFi allowed viewers who missed an episode to stay caught up in the soap opera. Without those rebroadcasts, computer-saavy viewers can still watch the current week's episode online at NBC's website, though it remains to be seen whether the lack of extra airtime will boost the first-run ratings.
