The 34th Annual People's Choice Awards show, not the socialist banquet one might expect but instead a yawn-inducing awards circus, aired Tuesday night to disappointing ratings (viewership was down 50% from the previous year).  Screen Actors Guild members honored the WGA picket and refused to cross, robbing the show of stars.  Still, host Queen Latifah did what she could, handing out awards at the taped show.
