Bruce Li tries to look like Bruce Lee as he plays a detective named Wei Man, while Bolo plays a Japanese counterfeiter named Kimura. Bolo has more to do than just look mean, and the fight scenes range unevenly from okay to even great, in a fairly straightforward story of kung fu cops and kung fu crooks.

Chen Kuan Tai plays hero and Yasuaki Kurata plays villain in a "ninja" movie from "the 1980s" that actually features ninja beyond just the title, and against the trend (except for a few minutes of camp here and there) manages to be a mostly serious effort for the genre, respecting ninja lore and blending it with a detective procedural.
